The cataloge DOCUMENTA XII presents art works which have been on display in the same-named exhibition of Franz Wassermann at art society Rosenheim / Germany. The works deal with two main topics of Wassermann´s artistic practice: death (e.g. GOD HAS COMMITED SUICIDE, BREATH and WAKE UP) and the art field and its laws (DOCUMENTA XII, ICONS and THE SIGNATURE IS THE ART PIECE.) All of these pieces address power and powerlessness of individuals who deal with superordinated systems.
