CIVILISATION

The video CIVILISATION is based on a TV news report about the visit of an UN Commissioner to Iran. In this report, the Commissioner points out that she wears and carries red lipstick during her whole visit in Iran to set an example for civilization. Franz Wassermann reacts to this statement in a video with two streams that are shown next to each other. The stream on the lift side shows a man with a broken arm and bruises who has his nails varnished red by another man. The stream in the right side shows the injured man when putting on red lipstick.
